The terms that come with every binding flat ACE Movers signs — cancellation, claims, access, payment.

These are the terms behind every ACE Movers binding flat. They’re short on purpose. Anything not covered here, call (888) 278-9005 — Dale answers questions on terms personally before he signs the contract.

The flat figure

The figure Dale signs is the figure you pay. It covers crew, truck, fuel, mileage, materials supplied, cargo coverage and worker comp. The figure changes only with your written go‑ahead during the walk, in two cases: inventory bigger than what Kevin saw, or access materially different from disclosed (locked gate, broken elevator, undisclosed flight of stairs).

Deposit and payment

Cancellation

Cancel 7 or more days before the move: full deposit refund. Cancel inside 7 days: deposit credits to a reschedule within 90 days. Cancel inside 24 hours: deposit forfeit (we’ve already staged the truck and held the crew). Reschedules requested in writing through the contact page.

Access & your obligations

  • Reserve the elevator in advance for condo and apartment moves
  • Clear gate codes with HOA — especially Sun City villages
  • Truck parking at origin and destination (we’ll advise)
  • Active utilities at destination (lights, water, A/C)
  • Disclose access changes (stairs, long carries) before signing

What we don’t move

Hazardous materials (paint thinner, propane, ammunition), perishables not packed in dry ice, cash and jewelry (carry these yourself), live plants on interstate runs (USDA rules), pets. We’ll tell you on the walk if anything in your inventory falls in this list.

Cash, jewelry, irreplaceable documents: ride with you, not in the truck. ACE policy, no exceptions.

Cargo claims

Released‑value coverage is included at no extra cost (60¢/lb per item under federal rule). Full‑value protection is an upgrade and recommended for high‑value households. Damage claims go in writing to Dale inside 9 months of delivery; we acknowledge inside 30 days and resolve inside 120, per US‑DOT timelines.

Liability cap

Our liability is capped at the declared valuation of the shipment plus the cost of the move. Indirect, consequential or punitive damages are not covered. Arizona law governs; venue is Maricopa County.
